My journey to Oak Haven was really a matter of perfect timing - I was looking for a change, wasn't totally sure what that meant for me, and I just happened to look in the right place at the exact right moment.
What drew me in initially was honestly the vibe; I couldn't put it into words then, and even now I really still can't tell you what the "it factor" was for me at the time. But it felt right, and I fully trusted that instinct. Looking back, I’m so glad I did because it led me to a company that has become such an important part of my life.


What I can put into words is my amazement after joining the Oak Haven ranks. I was totally floored at how genuine the company really is. Coming from a retail environment where the bottom line was everything, I was skeptical of a company that claimed to truly care about its people. But skepticism quickly gave way to surprise, and then ultimately to unwavering optimism. Since my first shift back in 2013, Oak Haven has proven time and again that they don’t just talk the talk - they walk the walk. They care about clients, they care about being the best in the business, but most of all, they care deeply about their employees.
And hands down, what I enjoy most about working at Oak Haven Massage is the people! We have such a unique community that is rooted in growth, positivity, and this idea of spending your time in ways that are truly meaningful to both yourself and the world around you. It’s all of the people here from ownership to management to employees who keep that culture alive every single day... and being part of that is incredibly rewarding.


In my role as HR and Payroll Coordinator, I now get to continue and foster the tradition of care and concern that sets Oak Haven apart. I'm able to help make that difference by ensuring our employees are taken care of in some of the most fundamental ways: making sure they get paid accurately and on time, and being a reliable resource when questions arise. I believe employees should feel confident and comfortable with their leadership and organization, and part of that comes from knowing they don’t need to stress about something as essential as their paycheck. And when challenges do come up, if I don’t have the answer immediately, they don't need to stress about that either... you'd better believe we're going to get it figured out!


When I think about memorable moments during my time here, it isn’t about one big achievement. It’s been years of quiet growth - both personal and professional - and small wins that have built on each other along the way. Paired with the constant encouragement from leadership, I've been able to step into and become more than I ever thought I was capable of. These experiences have created something truly meaningful: a career I’m passionate about, in a place that embodies integrity, with people I care about.


Not everyone can say they love what they do, and I’m forever grateful that I can.
